The series of illustrations were inspired by Gisela’s own personal research of medieval alchemical symbols and transformations, exploring the meaning of alchemy through the stories of ‘Diana’ the goddess of the moon and sun. The illustrative series is an original interpretation of her ideas, concepts and fantastical menagerie, showing a hidden world of transformed creatures and philosophies.
