About The Illustrator
Gisela Gayleard
Gisela Gayleard lives and works in Kent surrounded by her fury friends.
Since graduating with a degree in illustration from London College Of Fashion in 2020 she has now been working as a full time illustrator and designer.
Creating bespoke ink prints named her ‘inky narratives’ for a wide range of industries both in the UK and internationally. The creative industry has been drawn to the way she illustrates her own fantasy worlds as well as themes based on history, English folklore, nature and character design into her own fictional narratives.
Gisela’s Inky Narratives were first created when she started to write short fiction alongside her illustrations. After some time of trying to find the right word for what she was trying to explain she decided to create her narratives in a different way…. through ink. Inky narratives is her way of communicating her original stories and characters through illustration and design.
Her work has now been featured in magazines such as Kent Life Mag, country life and The Modern Jetsetter London. She has designed for collaborations with artists in the music industry, in fashion such as Olivia Annabelle Apparel and Primsisters store; as well as working closely with other creatives in London. Pop ups include John Lewis, the British library, Battersea Power Station, Fern Cottons Happy place festival and Greenwich Market.
